We are so excited to welcome Bradley and Caitlin Chestnut into our Live Oak family! As we eagerly await their arrival, enjoy this get-to-know-you Q&A!

Who are you guys?

Bradley Webster Chestnut was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, SC. He comes from an extremely spiritual household, leads with an enneagram type 7w6, and is an experienced and certified enneagram coach through the Enneagram Institute. His passion lies in worshipping, understanding the varieties of worship, and teaching. Brad, or Bradley, loves to bridge the gap between the secular and sacred by discovering “God in the midst.” He loves to read nonfiction books, specifically novels with profound or unique interpretations of the Bible and the radical love of Jesus Christ. His background is in music education and composition, so he greatly enjoys giving music lessons and writing new music!

Caitlin Shea Chestnut is from a small-town East of Hickory, NC called Granite Falls. She has a younger brother, Landon Holman, and comes from a loving Baptist household. She graduated college in 2018 and is working for the company that she was able to intern at. Caitlin currently works from home and loves spending time with her co-worker, Honoré (our dog).

What instruments can you play and what is your favorite?

Bradley doesn’t particularly have a favorite instrument, but he plays piano, keyboard, guitar (electric, acoustic and classical), bass (upright/double bass and electric), banjo, dulcimer (hammered and Appalachian), lute, violin, cello, trumpet, French horn, oboe, flute, bassoon, clarinet, contrabass, marching snare, drum set, trombone, tuba, euphonium, English horn, glockenspiel, marimba, vibraphone, timpani and triangle. Caitlin owns a guitar, but the strings hurt her fingers.

Tell us your favorite bible verse and why!

Bradley: Right now, the verses that are resonating in my heart is Isaiah 43:19, “I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” We are excited about the journey that God is taking us on, and we knew that Live Oak was the place where God was calling us towards from the moment we met you all.

Caitlin: Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flowers fades, but the Word of our God will stand forever.” Change is difficult for anyone, but amidst the growing pains, we can always holdfast to the promise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in John’s gospel, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
