Green Bag Sundays are back!

Be sure to pick up a green bag this Sunday!  If you aren’t coming to the services, you can still participate in Green bags!  You can pick a bag up at the office next week. This month we are supporting The Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Lowcountry. Here is their wishlist: Baby blankets/quilts, regular bottles, hooded towels and washcloths, wipes, bibs, crib sheets, diapers (sizes newborn-2), outfits and sleepers (0-12 months), onesies (0-12 months), pacifiers, receiving blankets, socks/booties, and toys and books for infants and toddlers.

If you are new to Live Oak and aren’t sure what green bag Sunday is about, here is the overview of the program; once a month we pick one of our local Compassion Partners, find out what they need, and then give you a green bag to fill up and return the following week filled with the items requested.  Those who are still attending virtually, feel free to drop off items at the Ministry Center the week of November 9th, from 9-noon, M-Th.

Kid’s Ministry

Kid’s Ministry started back up last Sunday!  While there may have been a few bumps that morning, overall everything went well!  It was great to have your kiddos in the building once again.  Our new curriculum will be up on the website in the next couple of weeks so that everyone can see what we are up to.  Right now, we are only offering Kid’s Ministry during our 10:45am service and space is limited.  Be sure to register here for this week!

New Month, New Cause

This November, every 2 check-ins at Live Oak on Facebook will provide a meal to a child in need. We’re working with Reach by Causely and feedOne to make it happen. You can add #givemeals when you check in to promote the cause. For more information about this month’s mission, check out

One Home/One Service

Our outdoor service a couple of weeks ago was so successful we are going to do it again!  Mark your calendars for November 15th at 10:00am for an outdoor service on our State St property!  Be sure to bring your own chairs or blankets or something to sit on.  (There will be some chairs available, but we are not renting chairs or a tent this time.)  Sure hope you can join us!
