Green Bag Sunday
This month we will be providing school supplies to the BLUFFTON AREA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION Back to School Fun Day! This is the 12th year for this event. Live Oak has participated as co-hosts all this time!
Items needed for the green bags are as follows: sturdy backpacks, #2 pencils, zippered pencil cases, erasers, pencil sharpeners, glue sticks, markers, crayons (24 count), washable markers, pocket folders, rulers, colored pencils, index cards (ruled), blunt-tipped scissors, ballpoint pens ( black and blue), hand sanitizer, spiral notebooks, wide ruled loose leaf paper, college ruled loose leaf paper, and composition notebooks.
Grab a green back this Sunday and bring it back by the end of the month! Let’s make sure the kids in Bluffton start school with backpacks full of school supplies!
Savannah Banana Family Night (07.27.22)
Join your church family for a night of FUN! The Savannah Bananas against the Macon Bacon! If you have never been to a Bananas game, you are truly missing out! $20/person gets you a seat and All-You-Can-Eat concessions! The gates open at 5:30 and the game starts at 7:00 rain or shine! Back To School Fun Day (08.06.22)
Are you looking for a way to serve our community? The Bluffton Area Community Association Back to School Fun Day is your chance!! Life Groups this is a great way to serve together!! This event is on Saturday, August 6th from 2-5pm at Oscar Frazier park in Bluffton. They need help setting up, serving throughout the day at various positions, and tearing down. Interactive Prayer Room
All summer we will have an interactive prayer room set up at BSOD in Studio 3. Take some time to process the changes happening in our church. Think about things you can get rid of (hello, set up/tear down), things you are grieving, and things you would like to see continue. Each station has paper and pens to express your thoughts and prayers. If you want someone to pray with you, our Core prayer team will also be available. Change is hard. Change takes processing. Everyone processes differently and in their own time. Take your time to process and lean into Jesus! #prayerourpower, #changeishard
