- Our Compassion Partner, CARE India, recently sent a letter to Pastor Michael detailing how COVID is currently impacting the country. Currently there are 260,000 new cases of COVID every day. As of today, the staff in India are healthy! However, they are facing worse than ever kick back from India’s regulations on NGOs. Recently the team had to close the bank account and open a new one. The Government has to approve the new one before money can be sent from overseas to support the pastors and the programs in CARE India. Please keep this partner is prayer. We will update you as we hear from them.
- Live Oak has an active Meal Ministry. If you are ill or facing surgery or just overwhelmed we have people ready, willing and able to provide meals for you and your family! If you are interested in helping with this ministry or need meals, contact jamie@liveoakcc.com.
- Free financial counseling is available at any time through Live Oak. If you are struggling trying to figure out how to pay your bills, put together a budget, or start saving for your future help is available! - Once a month a group meets at the Ministry Center for the Faith Shapers Book Club. This is not your ordinary book club. It’s an opportunity to explore selections that will intentionally grow and share your faith through reading and discussion in a community. The current book is Reading While Black by Esau McCulley. - A group of Live Oak Ladies meets for lunch once a month! This group is simply social. We go to different restaurants in Bluffton, Beaufort, and Hilton Head and just enjoy fellowship. - We are doing breakfast for 4 schools this year! In years past we have done breakfast at the high schools. This year we are adding McCracken and Bluffton Middle. - Jeff and Candy Campbell, longtime compassion partners of Live Oak, made it to Spain to begin work with NOVA. Please keep their transition in prayer. Specifically they ask for prayers for a house!
